BEARINGS
Worn bearings are one of the most common reasons why a dishwasher may start making unusual noises. There can be several reasons for a noisy dishwasher, so it is essential to first identify the source of the sound. In older dishwashers wash pump and rinse pump bearings become worn with age and often the only solution is replacing the pump.
In some cases, however, the problem can be as simple as worn bearings in the wash or rinse arms. These bearings are made of plastic and can wear over time due to the rotation of the blades. The good news is these issues do not mean the life of your dishwasher is at the end.
As with all mechanical issues, the timely repair of faults can prevent further deterioration or failure of other mechanical items. So if your dishwasher is not performing as quietly as it used to why not have one of our experienced technicians take a look – well get your machine up and running in no time.
